I was invited to go on a field trip to see and feed the horses in 2021 and 2022.
They are a magnificent group of about 7 horse families, each with its protective stud, total of between 85 to 95 horses.
While munching on the hay brought by their handlers, the horses are quite mellow, and allow the group of artists to walk among them.
There are the usual shenanigans among the teenage stallions, but they stay out of the way of the more sedate mares and make a wide berth of the studs. This mare was pausing to feed her new colt before stepping back to enjoy more of the hay provided.
